Family Employee Spotlight- JEREMY COOKE

JEREMY COOKE DERIVES MEANING FROM HIS WORK
THROUGH DEDICATION TO SERVICE

It’s no surprise that Jeremy Cooke, deputy clerk in the landmark 302nd District Court, has been acknowledged for his part in the strategic team that has made this court the first paperless Dallas County family court.

“I have always believed that the greatest good can come by completely focusing on the needs of others,” says Jeremy. “Therefore, regardless of what I am doing, I am interested in helping those around me, without regard for their position, whether a judge, colleague or pro se client.”

“Working in the 302nd Court, I have been able to see my own hand included among others pushing open the door to the future of governmental recordkeeping,” continues Jeremy.

“We have been able to demonstrate the effectiveness of a new system of digitally-archived court documents, which is a major achievement. As changes continue, there is always something new to absorb,” concludes Jeremy whose work and educational background demonstrate his ability to think creatively and work both as part of a trail-blazing team in a court as well play music with members of a band.

Jeremy began working for the District Clerk's office in August of 2007 after a career as a free-lance illustrator and graphic designer. Born and raised in North Carolina, Jeremy completed a Bachelor’s Degree in studio art the University of North Carolina. He then attended the Savannah College of Art and Design where he earned a Master of Fine Arts in illustration.

He now lives with his wife and children in Arlington where he enjoys reading, watching distinctive films, and playing music at church and with various bands.
