E-FILER OF THE QUARTER

ONE OF NEW ATTORNEY’S FIRST
ACTS IS SIGNING UP FOR EFILING

Steve Griggs, a new attorney with a solo practice, is keenly aware of the role technology plays in running any business efficiently. But with service professionals, such as attorneys and accountants who bill by the hour, time literally is money.

“The benefits of eFiling are immediately obvious to attorneys who are staying abreast of the developments in Texas courts,” says Mr. Griggs. “Filing electronically from my office saves time, money, gas, parking and other expenses, and is the most productive way to spend my time and serve my clients.”

“Now that all eFiled civil documents are digitized in district courts and cases are moving towards digital management from the bench, young attorneys are anticipating a much more effective way to manage their practices in partnership with the clerks and courts,” continues Mr. Griggs.

A native of North Texas who attended TCU and American University Washington College of Law, Mr. Griggs worked in government at the Federal level in Washington, where he worked on the US Senate Committee for Indian Affairs.

“All Federal Courts use eFiling only so it is encouraging to see the State Courts moving in the same direction,” concludes Mr. Griggs.
