Employee Spotlight- CHARLOTTE WILSON

CHARLOTTE WILSON IS AN EXPERT IN
PROVIDING DOCUMENTS OF MANY TYPES

Over the past 12 years, Charlotte Wilson has worked hard to meet the daily demands of providing law enforcement agencies, government agencies, other County departments and the public with felony criminal records. Because the progress of a case, the prosecution of a felon or the reputation of an individual can all be at stake at the same time, Charlotte feels a special commitment to providing the highest level of accurate and timely service each day.

Skills she learned working at the Dallas Public Library’s downtown branch have served her well, brining the resourcefulness and attention to detail she learned in that job to her position in Records.

Charlotte says that the most rewarding aspect of her work is knowing that she has helped a wide range of people do their jobs more efficiently with courteous and professional service.

She admits that the constant and growing demand for records with the same amount of staff to fill requests can be daunting, but says that meeting that challenge is what makes her job worthwhile. “I consider myself to be a hard worker, which gives me pride in myself, and the appreciation expressed by others makes it even more rewarding,” adds Charlotte.

Just as Charlotte adapted skills learned at the library and from school to her job in Records, she believes that all deputies need to learn all they can about what is going on around them, even if it doesn’t seem to apply to their own job, because every bit of knowledge strengthens every team and department.

Born and raised in Dallas, Charlotte enjoys watching movies and spending time with her family, especially her two sons, Exzavian and Erias.
